Saint Laurent Releases Fall 2017 Film

Video: Saint Laurent.

Purple neon lights, dimly-lit Tokyo streets, and a demonic geisha—it’s hard not to be transported to Japan with Saint Laurent’s latest video installation, produced as part of its Fall 2017 campaign. Directed by Nathalie Canguilhem, the fashion film, titled #YSL10, is the tenth of its series, which showcases the French fashion house’s unique take on modern streetwear. The video, featuring models Dalibor Urosevic and Paul Manniez, is accompanied by a somber recitation of Oscar Wilde’s “Her Voice,” toying with our lucidity and consciousness while accentuating Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello’s line among Tokyo’s stunning sights.

Zayn continues his close partnership alongside designer Donatella Versace with a new ZAYN X VERSUS capsule collection under the Versus Versace heading. Mixing athleticism and function, the dual men’s and women’s release molds together the rough-and-tumble image of the “Pillowtalk” crooner with the sleek and refined vision of the Italian house. Bomber jackets, parkas, and sweat tops bear the markings of the line with ZXV and Versus patches dotting the black/green/wine colored pieces, providing a stark attention to detail through the hardened ephemeral. A continuation of the same punk rock vibe of the pair’s previous outing, the line is supported by a Greg Harris-shot campaign, starring the singer himself alongside model Bella Hadid.

For No. 21, a playful contrast of soft and bold tones dominated its latest runway collection, drawing inspiration from freedom and escapism for its casual wardrobe staples.

Damir Doma

Layered outfits, oversized bomber jackets, and monochromatic striped pants were all part of Damir Doma’s new line. The brand opted for a colorful streetwear series infused with character and attitude.

Salvatore Ferragamo

Capturing the elegance of the sun-kissed Italian Riviera, Salvatore Ferragamo showcased an exquisite Spring/Summer 2018 collection in Milan with a riveting mix of minimal, laid-back pieces and elegant leather jackets.

Emporio Armani

Japan—that was the inspiration behind Emporio Armani’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Besides highlighting a series of quilted Kimono suits and sophisticated headbands of red, gold, and black, the runway show also saw a cameo by singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, who stars in the brand’s watch campaign.

It’s Been a Long Week: Tito’s Summertime Sparkler

WHAT

Celebrate the season’s solstice with Tito‘s Summertime Sparkler, the perfect companion for picnics and beach trips alike. With fresh fruit and a slight fizz, this refresher beats the sweltering heat.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium watermelon
  • 0.5 oz. Guava nectar
  • 0.25 oz. Simple syrup
  • Squeeze of fresh lemon
  • 3 oz. Sparkling mineral water
  • 1 l. Tito’s Handmade Vodka

THEN

Cut watermelon into cubes and flash freeze for 30 minutes. Later, add frozen watermelon to an infusion jar or glass vessel and cover with Tito’s Vodka. Let it sit for 4-5 days and strain out the fruit with a cheesecloth to make the infusion. Take 1.75 oz. of watermelon-infused Tito’s and build the rest of the cocktail, in order listed, over ice and stir. Garnish with fresh fruit.
