WHAT

CATCH’s Hermes Cocktail
On the heel’s of CATCH New York’s newly redesigned rooftop space—now with an additional 70 seats, reclaimed wood, exposed brick, and floor-to-ceiling window walls—the trendy Meatpacking spot says hello to sumer with its Hermes cocktail. Part tropical, part herb-y, and all passion, the drink is best enjoyed on the terrace with panoramic views of the downtown skyline at your service.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 2.5 oz. Belvedere Mango Passion
  • 1 oz. Lemon juice
  • 0.75 oz. Orgeat syrup
  • 5 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Muddled Thai basil leaves

THEN

Shake all and double strain into a coupe glass. Garnish the cocktail with Thai basil leaf.

WHAT

The Fillmore Room’s The Fillmore
Once a go-to for the art world’s whose who’s in Chelsea, New York’s Moran’s has now become The Fillmore Room, an art-deco inspired restaurant and bar with classic American fare. For its inducting libation, we’ve opted for The Fillmore: a drink that shares the new room’s name and resounding boom.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Evan Williams Black
  • 0.5 oz. Grand Marnier
  • 0.75 oz. Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.5 oz. Simple syrup
  • Claret to top

THEN

In a small shaker tin, add all the ingredients except the claret. Add ice and shake. Fine strain everything into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Gently float red wine on top. Garnish with an orange and cherry skewer.

WHAT

La Piscine’s Peligrosa
Post-Frieze drinks go-to (and rest-of-the-year hotspot) in New York City, Hotel Americano recently opened its sexy rooftop restaurant and poolside bar, La Piscine. As our own personal sort of cheers, we’re saying welcome back to the neighborhood with a full glass pitcher of La Piscine’s Peligrosa, a refreshing resurrection from the sweltering sun with its own tease of heat.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Citadelle Gin
  • 0.5 oz. Simple syrup
  • 1 oz. Lime juice
  • 0.5 oz. Cucumber juice
  • 1 Slice of jalapeño
  • 1 Slice of cucumber

THEN

Muddle jalapeño and cucumber and then add remaining ingredients. Shake vigorously and double strain over ice into a rocks glass. Garnish with a cucumber slice.

WHAT

The London EDITION’s Dill or No Dill
A bit bitter and a bit sweet, the Dill or No Dill from the London EDITION hotel is a cocktail that will surely leave an impression. Maybe its the beautiful hue, or is it its crisp, fresh taste? You’ll just have to wrestle up the ingredients below and find out on your own.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Tanqueray Gin
  • 0.5 oz. Elderflower cordial
  • 0.8 oz. Lemon juice
  • 2 slices Cucumber
  • Sprig of dill
  • Pinch of salt

THEN

Muddle the cucumber and dill in a mixing tin. Add the other ingredients and shake with ice. Then strain into a Nick & Nora glass (or coupe) and garnish with a dill sprig on a mini clothes peg.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz. Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum
  • 0.5 oz. Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur
  • Champagne

Combine Sailor Jerry and Ancho Reyes and shake well. Serve in coupe glass and top with champagne. Garnish with lime wheel.

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Stolen Spiced
  • 0.5 oz coconut cream

WHAT

Bombay Sapphire Classic Martini Cocktail
Once deemed “the only American invention as perfect as the sonnet” by the twentieth century scholar H. L. Mencken, the classic Martini recipe sips even smoother with a touch of vermouth and a generous pour of Bombay Sapphire.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Bombay Sapphire
  • 1.5 oz. Martini & Rossi Extra Dry Vermouth
  • Olives

THEN

Fill half of a shaker with ice. Coat the inside of the shaker with vermouth, discard the ice and vermouth, and refill with new ice. Pour in Bombay Sapphire holding the base of the glass shaker. Stir—never shake—until ice cold and pour into a chilled martini glass.

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 0.5 oz. Combier Pamplemousse
  • 1 dash lemon bitters
  • 3 drops orange blossom water
  • 4.5 oz. Domaine Chandon

  • 1 1/2 oz. D’USSE
  • 3/4 oz. lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz. rosemary simple
  • 1/4 oz. Amaretto
  • 1/4 oz. Combier Crème de Pêche
  • 1/4 oz. Bénédictine
  • Côtes du Rhône

HOW

Ingredients:

  • 2 parts SVEDKA Vodka
  • 3/4 part fresh lime juice
  • 3/4 part simple syrup
  • Cucumber slices and basil

Muddle cucumber and basil in a cocktail shaker. Add the remaining ingredients and shake vigorously. Afterward, fine strain into a chilled Martini glass and garnish lavishly with cucumber.
