Watch Alex Mattsson x Zebra Katz ‘Glimpse the Eternal’
You won’t see an Alex Mattsson runway show at London Collections: Men this season, and that’s okay. While the Swedish-born, English-educated designer most famous for printed-tee’s is having a three day exhibition at The Hospital Club (WC2H 9HQ), it’s his latest fashion film in collaboration with Red Bull Catwalk Studio, Glimpse the Eternal, that has us more than excited. Half-Enter the Void, half-homoerotic thriller, the video uses Mattson’s inspiration for his latest AW14 collection, space, and expands it literally, creating a spiraling duality of the natural world and the inner subconscious, all draped in a fabulous series of glowing rainbow effect. The film marks Mattson’s second visual collaboration with Red Bull Catwalk Studio, as well as with Brooklyn Rapper Zebra Katz, who provides hip-thumping vocals on both videos, and we could not be happier.
