Rihanna to Launch Fashion Collection

It’s only been around 2 weeks since it was revealed that full-time beauty magnate and part-time pop legend Rihanna would launch a clothing line with LVMH. This is a big deal because A) this makes the Barbadian songstress the first Black woman to create a brand under the luxury conglomerate, and B) everything she touches turns to gold (see Fenty Beauty and any of her 8 albums). And after a beautiful cover feature in T Magazine, it seems that fans won’t have to wait much longer for the clothing debut.

In the interview conducted by rising playwright Jeremy O. Harris, Rihanna announced that her genderless line will not hold traditional runway shows, but instead will release collections throughout the year. The first collection is set to be released on May 25 in Paris, with an international launch on her website set for May 29. Some of the looks featured in the story include oversize suits, boxy shirts, and structured denim pieces all in solid neutral and pastel prints — basically, items that can be dressed up for maximum impact or worn casually. She also released that she’s definitely working on her reggae album — her first album since 2016’s beloved Anti — but one thing at a time.
