Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer 2017 Campaign

Italian made Bottega Veneta embraces a purer, more elegantly traditional set of images for its Spring/Summer 2017 campaign. Sidestepping the current trend of shock value and over the top visual drama, the brand allows the clothing to express itself on models who are decidedly dejected, wearing a geometric and sharply tailored line with an ease reserved for elite posterity. This latest campaign is part of the ongoing Art of Collaboration project, in which Bottega Veneta pairs itself with tastemakers and artists for creatively inventive seasonal releases. Here, American photographer Todd Hido embraces an idealized vision of the suburban dream, placing models against the architecturally robust Modulightor Building in New York City for a series of images and an accompanying walkthrough video that plays with one of the nation’s most basic desires. To honor the brand’s 50th anniversary, as well as Creative Director Tomas Maier’s 15th year with the company, the collection will feature new items alongside vintage and archived pieces to celebrate the brand’s long and profound fashion history throughout its storied years.
