The Harmonist Makes US Debut With Melrose Boutique

Following the opening of its first boutique in Paris earlier this year, new French maison de parfums The Harmonist opens its US flagship in Los Angeles with a space as conceptually thought out as its own personalized scents.

Balancing Eastern Asian philosophies that focus on duality of the Yin and the Yang, nature’s five core elements, and modern alchemy, the brand cultivates self-based scents that match each’s inherent energies. The new store reflects this awareness of the world around us, in a stunning, multi-roomed space with precious materials that play to both emotional harmony and Feng Shui. Designed by Alnoor, the over 1,000-square-foot boutique contrasts the sensory connotations of black-and-white, with a modern design that works to direct Chi throughout the space. Mirroring its Paris-sibling, a curved table greets entrants with globe-shaped olfactoriums to introduce each of The Harmonist’s 10 perfumes, where after sit parlor-esque lounge areas colored by clean lines and a mix of marble, hardwood, and hand-woven rugs.
