‘The Goldfinch’ Trailer is Here – Watch Now
The trailer for The Goldfinch, the highly-anticipated coming-of-age film counting Ansel Elgort and Nicole Kidman amongst the star-studded cast (which further includes Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard, Sarah Paulson, Willa Fitzgerald, Ashleigh Cummings, and more) is out now. The film is based on the Pulitzer-Prize novel winning novel of the same name by Donna Tartt. In the film, the 13-year-old Theodore Decker unveils a coming-of-age story having lost his mother in a terror attack at an art museum. It’s then that he takes with him The Goldfinch, a small painting by Rembrandt’s student Carel Fabritius earlier pointed out to him by his mother. From there, his world takes a criminal turn with the painting as his only beacon of hope for safety. Coincidentally, as the trailer launched, Elgort posted 17 candid (and perhaps not the most flattering) selfies of himself on his Instagram page without any caption at all. Trolling or just the new frontier of movie promo? You decide.
The Goldfinch hits theaters on September 13. Watch the trailer above.
