Private Policy SS ’20 is a Tribute to Stonewall

The New York-based Private Policy hosted their Spring/Summer 2020 show in the city as a nod to the chief inspiration of the collection, the Stonewall Riots in 1969. The Parsons duo has been depicting elements of metropolitan ambition in their collection since conception, but this collection showed how they’ve matured to a new level.

The new collection is a compilation of essential pieces for self-liberation a unity of difference including 3D-print inspired jackets, athletic styles, and detachable feathered harnesses. The styles are featured in a rainbow variation, but also soft pastel pink and mint options for everyday wear. “We don’t need to act like soldiers (or dress like them) to protest and stand up for our rights,” the brand stated in a release. Their collection captures the living spirit of the brave peers fighting for their own identities in 1969 resonating on until today.

The collection also features the new PIXEL capsule, some of which is already available online.  Read our interview with the designers here and see some key looks from the collection below.
