Off-White Opens Pop-Up Shop in Johannesburg
After just showing an art-filled Spring/Summer 2020 collection, Off-White is installing a pop-up shop in Johannesburg’s Sandton City Shopping Centre. The temporary space is the Milan-based label’s first pop-up shop in the South African city and will carry the Spring/Summer 2019 line, as well as the brand’s signature sneakers and other accessories, for six months.
The intimate 25-square-foot space mirrors the brand’s other stores, maintaining an industrial theme — exposed pipes and perforated sheet metal accents are particularly urban — with minimal yet clear-cut branding. Maybe if Virgil Abloh has a break from his new Vegas residency at the Wynn in Las Vegas (which is also getting an Off-White store, btw), he might stop by the pop-up shop himself.
