Punk as Gala: Burberry Met Gala Capsule Collection
Taking inspiration from the Burberry Spring 2011 season, Burberry has created a very limited edition capsule collection to celebrate this tonight’s Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Exhibition Punk: Chaos to Couture. The women seem to get a little more attention, thanks to a pair of spiked heels that the TSA will hate and two more studded leather leather jackets that harken to Rihanna’s more prickly days might, but the studded men’s leather jacket suits the occasion perfectly. Also, you’ll find a pair of skinny black denim and a classic white, short sleeved henley that, while not screaming punk, are absolute musts for the Burberry collector. The limited edition collection is now available and is exclusive to the Burberry Soho and East 57th Street stores in New York.
