HUF Launches Capsule Collection With United Arrows & Sons

HUF is partnering with contemporary Japanese brand United Arrows & Sons for a capsule collection dubbed “DOWNHILL 2.” The two brands have previously worked on a range of apparel and accessories. Their second round features pieces inspired by the British ‘Mod’ subculture and skateboarder Matt Hensley. As a brand that started as a skateboarding aficionado, HUF continues to weave this thread along with its newest projects. The campaign itself actually features Hensley alongside HUF founder Keith Hufnagel and HUF team rider Justin Drysen. Mentionable pieces in the collection include a military-inspired jacket, a retro Mod Coat, and other pieces of apparel with decorated sleeves.

The HUF x United Arrows & Sons collection is set to release January 16th exclusively at HUF and United Arrows & Son’s flagship and online stores

Kim Jones Launches Dior Beach Goods

Happy summer! Kim Jones has just created a new beachwear capsule for Dior. Following the eponymous Summer ’19 collection, the label’s artistic director continues to add his spin to a limited range of goods fit for the beach. A robotic theme continues to show up in the new capsule, with mechanical swordfish and mermaids graphics by Japanese artist and ongoing collaborator Hajime Sorayama adorning some of the pieces complementing a subtle take on Hawaiian floral prints. Most pieces, including a windbreaker-like jacket, t-shirts, swim shorts, and classic Bermuda shorts, are given a relaxed casual fit for lounging by the water.

The collaboration brings new colors perfect for the summertime, a departure from the monochrome of the previous collection.

BOSS Celebrates its Roots with the ‘Made in Germany’ Capsule

BOSS is going back to its roots with the launch of its ‘Made in Germany’ capsule collection. The designer, which has been based in Metzingen since its start in 1942, focused on the precision of German tailoring in a collection of rich menswear pieces sure to stun at any fall function. With some pieces using exclusive Italian materials, the line celebrates the heritage of the house (which originally produced work uniforms before expanding into men’s suits) while providing premium materials for the perfect fit.

For men, six classic BOSS looks have been updated for the season — a classic button-down in opulent Italian cotton, a burgundy suit revamped with a drawstring waist for an athleisure twist, and a tailored coat with an altered check pattern. It’s classic BOSS conditioned for the 2018 man. And the versatility of the pieces allows for plenty of mix-and-match opportunities all season long. Take a look at some of the looks below.

Acne Studios Releases a Second Line of SS14 Inspired Graphic Tees

The first capsule collection was released back in April and featured manipulated images of someone giving the finger in a zine-like screen print. The newest series of t-shirts maintains this raw aesthetic, this time around with a graphic print of a woman sticking her tongue out. Rock on.

Acne Debuts The Diner Collection

acne---1

Images: Acne Studios

Swedish label Acne Studios unveiled their latest capsule collection today featuring items inspired by classic American diners and bars. The brand goes retro pop with bold graphic motifs on modern staples and accessories. The coolest part has to be that rollerskates are even a part of the line. You won’t find any 50’s poodle skirts or pink cardigans here though, as all the items are contemporarily unisex. It’s like CW’s Riverdale meets American Graffiti.

Stand out pieces include a ranger style beige/brown work shirt with a patch of a Northwest style landscape, seemingly Twin Peaks inspired, and baggy work twill shorts available in both red or brown. While the pieces would be out of place at any real diner along the highway, they are solid statement pieces for the cheeky urbanite who likes a bit of humor added to their style.

Acne’s Diner Collection is available online now.
