Berluti SS’14 Collection
A beautiful, supremely wearable collection, Berluti’s Spring 2014 offerings are a study in color, pattern and texture. Drawing inspiration from the uniforms of working-class Frenchmen in the 20th Century, These are magnificent pieces with a classic cut that are easy to wear, easy to look good in. Colors of tan, white, ruby, plum, and blue are frequently present, and though the fabrics are light- silk, cotton, linen, suede- they have been treated to give them the fascinating textures of heavier material. There is nothing outlandish here, save perhaps bold stripes on a turtleneck sweater. Berluti seems less focused on making a statement and more concerned on giving a modern gentleman what he truly wants: clothes that make him more complete.
