Basquiat Inspires New Herschel Supply Capsule
The iconic work of late New York-based Jean-Michel Basquiat remains an infinite resource for designers across all industries. Canadian accessories and apparel brand Herschel Supply Co. is the latest to honor the artist’s legacy with a limited-edition Fall ’19 collection of bags and other items. The capsule collection references two of Basquiat’s most acclaimed paintings from the ’80s, Untitled (Scull/Skull) (1981), and Now’s The Time (1985) into various goods — the former is featured prominently on several backpacks, wallets, jackets, and t-shirts, while the latter is incorporated into tote bags and a rain jacket.
