For the third year in a row, St. Germain liquor celebrates the summer solstice with a Maison St. Germain flower installation celebrating all things flora, fauna, and alcohol. This year’s installation makes a home in Greenpoint’s Terminal Warehouse where a suspended, living, elderflower meadow installation flies over the heads of visitors letting down curtains of wildflowers.
The installation was complete by BRAVO’s “Backyard Envy” team and Creative Directors Manscapers NY (who recently completed Gitano in SoHo). The sensorial floating meadow features 12-tons of greenery spanning over 1,200 square-feet resemblingTeletubbies-land mounds. The flowers reflect the 1,000 elderflowers necessary for each bottle of St.Germain. These will be donated to the New York City charity GreenThumb upon the close of the exhibit.
This year, the installation is also open to the public for the rest of the weekend. Visitors will each receive a golden token to redeem a complimentary St.Germain Spritz from local participating Brooklyn bars.
Just as Chelsea’s Moxy Hotel opens its doors, its highest rooftop bar in NYC, The Fleur Room, is set to make a mark on the quite small world of New York City nightlife with a chic touch of Hollywood glamour, New York City-exclusive views, and yummy cocktails.
The brainchild of New York nightlife’s Angelo Bianchi, he describes his newest venue as “a glamorous room whose inhabitants aren’t afraid to have fun.” He compares it to a film classic, “Anita Ekberg in La Dolce Vita, yet instead of the cobblestoned streets of Rome, the backdrop is a view of the city that exists in everyone’s imagination. If you have just won an Oscar or are coming from the Met Ball and you want the magic to continue, this is where you go.” Bianchi sets the bar quite high for his bar that opens at dusk with a golden glow special for an aperitif and then turning into a full out night-cap with a proper dance party.

Inspired by the floral vibes of the street below (West 28th is New York’s historical flower district,) The Fleur Room features ornate flower decor, a massive disco ball from 80’s Hollywood nightlife, a copper-clad bar and potentially the best views in Manhattan. The location embraces the floral theme meticulously with botanical-print furniture, a water droplet chandelier, and whimsical cocktails. One can expect garden-party cocktails featuring plenty of fruits, bubbly, and of course, St-Germain Elderflower liqueur for an extra floral note.

As with your typical garden party which could be intimate and private, or quite lively, The Fleur Room strives to translate the same theme. “It’s a space where there’s a fun, carefree atmosphere because the operators have gone through extraordinary lengths to ensure the experience is customized to be personal for every person that walks into the room,” says Bianchi. But most importantly, it is one of a kind venue outside of the typical downtown area. “Some of my best experiences I had going out were venturing to the far west side of 28th street when there were only one or two intrepid clubs that weren’t afraid to set the culture and bold enough to redefine an entire neighborhood,” says Bianchi. “People with a taste for new and interesting things will be the first to be drawn to the Fleur Room.” And surely they will be attracted to a new zip code, tempted by the floral mixology, and on their way to/from Hudson Yards opening just a week later.
Le Fleur Room is located on the 35th floor of Moxy Hotel at 105 West 28th Street.
As true believers of the work hard, play hard mantra, we present you with It’s Been a Long Week, a weekly column aimed at awarding some liquid appreciation to you for just being yourself, dammit. Make yourself a glass or two, on us — you deserve it
Winter seems neverending at this time of the year when we crave warm suns rays and spritz on a terrasse. Normally perceived as a summer aperitif, a spritz can totally be a winter drink if prepared properly as featured in St-Germain’s newest cocktail book “How To Spritz French Fluently.” Winter Picnic is exactly what it sounds like, a cold-season refresher. Ryan Chetiyawardana of Mr Lyan in London pays homage to French Beaujolais season layering the wine and St-Germain with a touch of coffee liqueur. The cocktail “brings a slice of French celebration to the otherwise miserable cold of the season,” says Chetiyawardana. The cocktail offers a chocolate note that is ideal in the winter months.
Ingredients:
1.25oz St-Germain
1.24oz Beaujolais
2 teaspoons coffee liqueur
1.75oz soda water
1.75oz tonic water
Method:
Pour all ingredients into a large wineglass filled with ice.
Stir to combine and add more ice.
Garnish with a purple basil sprig and clove-studded orange.

We’ve been in the 20s inspired mood all week, thanks to a new book on Hemingway, “Autumn in Venice: Ernest Hemingway and His Last Muse” by Andrea di Robilant. So here we are with a Fitzgerald-inspired mid-summer cocktail too: the Gloria, named after the protagonist of “The Beautiful and Damned.” A product of St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur fused with sparkly champagne, here’s a toast to the jazz age. Turn on your Zelda, your Daisy, or your Gatsby and come toast with us at the immersive installation Maison St-Germain is hosting at The Battery Gardens in NYC on June 22. Tickets are available online.
In case you won’t be there with us, here’s the recipe for the Gloria:
Ingredients:
0.5 oz St-Germain French elderflower liqueur
0.25 oz Suze
Top off with cold dry champagne and spray St-Germain and Frankincence essential oil. Serve in a coupette. Garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel and gold dust.

Labor Day is the annual warning bell: Summer is accelerating to a sprint, the finish line is in sight, and you did not work this hard to go home empty handed. Life gets compacted for a brief moment in an effort to look back on this summer with a fond smirk. Whether you’re celebrating with friends or strangers, on a yacht or a rooftop, with a Stella or a PBR, Labor Day is an occasion to look and feel your sharpest. It’s a time to hint at the future (bucket hats), while paying homage to the past (we’ll all miss our boat shoes). It’s a vacillation between seasons, allowing shorts to meet sweaters for a brief jamboree. Leave the political statements to the red and blue, kiss the bright white goodbye, and embrace this time of great joy, surrounded by smiles and serenades. And if asked, be ready with a good toast.
