@Artisttjan: Is there anything that you have done, or been through in your past, that you look back on and think, “I lost a piece of myself because of that?”

Yes, most definitely. I sometimes say this to myself when I think of all the people I have dated. In the past, I tended to give all of myself to others and never got it back in return… I know it’s the story of all our lives. In one relationship, I realized I was lying to myself and I had to stop it because I was losing myself not only to the situation, but also to a person that didn’t deserve me.

@thewonderfuloneTen years from now where do you want to be?

I never know exactly where it is that I will want to be, but I know how I want to feel. I want to feel unstoppable in every way possible—all the way to the infinite. They say the average human only uses 10% of its brain, and I think a lot of the hindrance comes from following society and the way we think that we should live. I don’t want to live like that anymore. I don’t want to just be a dot in the universe, but a stamp in time.

@reperezrosas: Are you in a relationship? When was your last?

I am not in a relationship. My last one was almost a year ago and it lasted for two years. I am happy now that I have myself again.

@kristina4410: If you could eat dinner with five celebrities dead or alive who would they be?

Michael Jackson, Gene Wilder, Morgan Freeman, Nelson Mandela, and Meryl Streep. It would be an inspirational night and would feel like a room full of uncles, an aunt, and their nephew.

@officialpeachx: How do you deal with negative energy?

I don’t at all. I try my hardest to ignore it and act as if it didn’t happen. Negativity is only the way you perceive something. I try to look at everything in a positive light.

@dimasammar22: How does it feel to inspire so many people ?

It feels good. To know that my voice has traveled light years away from where it started is always amazing to me. It does get overwhelming sometimes, because to do that you don’t want to let anyone down and you always have to reinvent yourself so that others can look at themselves a little better.

@di0rwhore: What were you doing before you were brought into the spotlight?

I used to dance for years in a dance company, off and on teaching kids ballet and other forms of dance. I loved recording YouTube dance videos of myself to get advice from others online and that lead to my career today.

@barbarlily: Do you want to have kids someday?

I sure do. I want to have two of my own and adopt two others.

@Discodan92: As a gay man I struggle with body image. I know you work in one of the most body conscious industries that exists. How do you deal with the pressure and the abundant amount of shady queens?

Queens will always have something to say, just like any other negative person. That’s all they are and all they ever will be. You just have to keep it moving and understand who you are and what you stand for in this world. People shy away from what they don’t understand. I don’t think you should worry because I never deal with it. I keep moving so much that I don’t even notice.

@destynriley: Being a busy model, you may not get to see your friends and family as often as you like, so when you do see them what are some of the things you like to do?

My friends are always traveling as much as I am; I don’t believe in being around people that don’t inspire me or aren’t on the same level I am. So if I don’t see them, it’s usaully because they are off jet setting somewhere too. As for my family, they understand what I am doing so it’s never an issue. When I do see them, we always like to turn up at hometown places or family members’ houses and just kick back. With my friends, it’s basically the same but just a bit more: we like to go on late night adventures and party in the ugliest clothing because no one else is looking.

Rolling with Ross: Ten Facts You Wouldn’t Know About Shaun Ross

Welcome to Rolling with Ross, an intimate and on-going look into the life of artist and super role model Shaun Ross. From his words to you:

SR2Image: Christopher Captain.

1. The exact time I was born is unknown. My mother gave birth to me in a moving vehicle going 90 miles an hour on the Bronx River Highway.

2.  That’s also why even though I go by Shaun, my real name is Nissan because I was born in a Nissan 240sx.

3. The lump on my nose is a benign section of extra skin tissue that I’ve had since birth.

4. Counting back five generations, I am the only person in my family with albinism.

5. A couple of months before I was born, my grandma said to my mom, “I had a dream about your baby and he is going to come out with a head full of gold.” After my mother delivered me in the car, the first thing she saw was a head full of gold hair and was shocked.

6. I sleep like a cat: in one spot without any movements or sounds. People don’t usually realize that I’m in the room if I’m asleep… or sometimes even think I’m dead.

7. My mother was a model, and still managed to have a career after having my two older siblings, but after I was born she stopped. Eventually, I became the only child out of four who organically picked up modeling after her.

8. I don’t have any birthmarks.

9. I believe in a world not like ours, which has always kept me searching for more. So when I was asked to play E.T. in Katy Perry’s music video, it made sense because I’ve always felt like an extraterrestrial life form trying to find its way back home. I still feel this way today.

10. I’m legally blind… so POP Hold it Down. A bit of humor, but I actually am.

Rolling with Ross: Vent (PT I)

Welcome to Rolling with Ross, an intimate and on-going look into the life of artist and super role model Shaun Ross. From his words to you:

Imagine yourself in a place where only you live…a place where you are allowed to say exactly what you want without any judgment. Perhaps this place is the inside of your head, or under the safe covers of your bed. There have been so many subjects that I have wanted to touch on, and things that have kept me down for so long, that I decided to vent—not to a friend, but to you. I’ve been infatuated with the idea of talking to the anonymous—a stranger that I can’t see/someone that doesn’t know—for so long in order to get a fresh start. I had a recent breakup and it really inspired me to be more honest with myself; to become a better person. I think the first step to healing and learning to speak about it is to, well, Vent.

Rolling with Ross: the Inauguration, Featuring Bradley Soileau

Welcome to Rolling with Ross, an intimate and on-going look into the life of artist and super role model Shaun Ross. From his words to you:

Ever since my debut as Adam in Lana Del Rey’s tale of redemption, Tropico, I have received various hate mail stating that I am “ugly” or that Bradley Soileau “hates me,” or worse, that I “hate him.” Rumors of different extremes have gone around and around, all of which I find extremely bizarre. So one day Bradley and I were working on a shoot together and the thought occurred to me: “why not shoot something that people can relate to?” Bradley has been doing so many amazing things—creating a new clothing line, DJing for Brooke Candy, etc—and we’ve actually been good friends for a while. For the first edition of Rolling with Ross, I want the world to know that we have nothing but love for each other, Lana, and all of our fans. In that spirit (and for the first time), I present you with this short spread titled Brother’s Love:

Shaun Ross Stars in Joyrich’s SS14 Lookbook

Male model of the moment (and of our hearts), Shaun Ross stars alongside Jodie Smith in LA street wear brand Joyrich‘s latest lookbook and fashion film for Spring/Summer 2014. Beneath Jeremy Scott-inspired jerseys, more printed gold fabric than M.I.A. could dream of, and a harmony of athletic wear and on-trend graphic eccentricism, Ross stands powerful, alluring. We’ll take one of each, please, along with a plane ticket to LA!

Breaking Down Lana Del Rey’s ‘Tropico’ Through 20 Stills of Shaun Ross

Lana-Del-Rey-Tropico

Lana Del Rey premiered her garden of eden-inspired mega-music video/short film Tropico yesterday channeling The Tree of Life, 1960’s Elvis glamour, Allen Ginsberg, a lot of not-so-subtle Christian guilt, and a surprisingly romantic set of Californian latin street kings. Set to the tune of three LDR tracks (“Body Electric,” “Gods and Monsters,” and “Bel Air”), even better the Anthony Mandler (of Jay-Z, M.I.A., Beyonce, etc fame) directed video co-stars male model/dancer/actor/beautiful being extrordinare Shaun Ross—known to most as being the first male albino mode—as Del Rey’s time-shifting, Bonnie and Clyde lover. In case you don’t have a full half hour to dedicate to watch Ross sultrily dance around those plump lips, we broke down our favorite moments below:

Tropico starts in what appears to be Lisa Frank’s real-time version of Adam and Eve.

01

Meaning there are a lot of blended colors and a lot of fluffy animals.

02

03

Del Rey and Ross lose themselves in “Body Electric.”

04

Ross takes her down.

05

But then Del Rey is like, “no, me on top.”

06

Following LDR’s breach of heavenly trust (she eats the apple from the tree — women! right?), Ross follows suit because of, like, love.

07

Flash forward to late 2000’s Pasadena, California in which Ross is now kind of a gangster.

08

Lana Del Chola.

09

10

Yay they’re still in love in this time period too!

11

But it seems Ross has gotten himself mixed up with some dangerous friends!

12

But hey at least they still have each other, right?

13

14

Uh-oh, Ross and those friends of his end up robbing a group of wealthy business men!

15

So now they’re rich, and finally able to do rich-people-things like shoot guns openly into the sky. Luxury!

16

Later (?), Ross and Del Rey are like “lets lose these losers, they’re just bringing us down” and drive off into the sunset.

17

In said sunset, they change into white clothes and romantically dance in a field.

18

19

Spoiler: but then the dancing abruptly ends because they get abducted by aliens???
