For its latest capsule with actor and global men’s ambassador Michael B. Jordan, Coach partnered with Viz Magazine to launch a new collection inspired by Naruto. Jordan has long been vocal about his love for the anime series which premiered over 20 years ago and continues to influence a generation of anime and manga fans.
“With my name on this collection, it was important to design pieces that represent my cultural influences and my community; pieces that I could see my friends, family, and fans wearing with pride,” Jordan said in a statement. “As with all aspects of my work, this collection is about bringing fresh perspectives and unique voices to the forefront. Expanding into the fashion design space was rewarding beyond my expectations. I’m grateful to Stuart and Coach for providing me with the opportunity and expertise to execute a collection I’m extremely proud of.”
The new capsule blends Jordan’s signature functional style with Coach’s craft and is embellished with visual cues from the anime series, including a recurring eye motif that’s featured on several pieces. The collection includes a number of ready-to-wear pieces, like parkas and denim jackets, which have been enhanced with technical features including removable sleeves and adjustable straps, in addition to a selection of accessories like backpacks and hybrid sneaker boots.
The Coach x Michael B. Jordan collection is available in select stores and online now.
This past Saturday, June 1st, New York City’s finest took a boat across the Hudson to Liberty State Park in New Jersey to watch the 12th Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic. The tournament was headed by polo-darlings Nacho Figueras and Delfina Blaquier, duo for Team Veuve which won eleven to ten.
Veuve Clicquot brought polo back to the city in 2008 after a 70-year hiatus. Uniting champagne lovers and sports aficionados, the Polo Classic is the unofficial summer kickoff, gathering celebrities, models, and everyone in between. At the helm of this year’s event was Julianne Moore who threw the first pitch to commence the game. She was joined by Jennifer Lawrence (sporting a hefty new engagement ring), Emily Ratajkowski with her beau, Michael B. Jordan, Gayle King,Eric Rutherford, and many more. DJ Isaac Hindin-Miller was in charge of the musical ambiance. As the tournament grew hotter (quite literally), bubbly was poured all around, and dancing shoes quickly came off. Another successful polo season commences on the East Coast.

For its latest campaign, Coach tapped the talents of director Spike Lee and brand ambassador Michael B. Jordan for a fashionable short film, titled Words Matter. Shot in a desert outside of Los Angeles, the grainy video features Jordan riding in on a motorcycle, wearing a leather ensemble as he confronted with stones scrawled with the words ‘Bigotry,’ ‘Hatred,’ and ‘Evil,’ among other things. He then replaces them with rocks that say ‘Love,’ ‘Truth,’ and ‘Dream’ as a testament to the American designer’s core values as a brand.
“I’m honored to get to collaborate with Giants in their respective fields, Michael B. Jordan and Coach,” Academy Award-winning director Lee said in a statement. “It was truly a Magical Day working, shooting in the Desert. Enjoy.”
The film was co-written by Lee’s children( Satchel and Jackson Lee) and styled by Jane How. Hair was done by Jove Edmond and Carola Gonzalez did the makeup. Watch the film below.
Michael B. Jordan‘s first global campaign as the face of Coach menswear (he was announced as the first male ambassador for the brand in September) is out now. Shot by Craig McDean, the shots for Spring ’19 feature the actor in a dessert (a testament to the label’s distinct Americana vibe) donning a number of leather bags in addition to looks from the collection. The series also features Coach’s latest scent, Platinum Eau de Parfum, which is inspired by the open road. All in all, Jordan looks great and I’m sure he smells great too. See for yourself.
Michael B. Jordan, ripped heartthrob and star of Black Panther and upcoming Creed II, has been announced as the first global face for Coach menswear. Starting with the Spring ’19 collection, Jordan will front a series of campaigns for the brand, in addition to being involved in creative design projects with the New York designer’s creative director Stuart Vevers.
“I’m honored to be joining the Coach family and have so much respect for Stuart Vevers’ vision,” Jordan said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to jumping into the creative process and exploring fashion through a different lens.”
Jordan is one of those men so physically handsome it hurts to look at him for extended amounts of time. And now his face is going to be plastered on billboards and subway advertisements for months to come? God bless.
It was a relatively quiet 2013 for Zac Efron, minus the cocaine, the rehab, the broken jaw… Alright, rephrase: it was a relatively quiet year for Zac Efron professionally. His only feature, Parkland (a historical drama that recounted the moments following JFK’s assassination), failed to make much of an impression after its Venice Film Festival-debut so it was Efron’s off-screen antics (see: opening sentence) that served to captivate the public. But with the upcoming release of two new comedies, that’s all about to change. First up: The Awkward Moment, a bro-ey romantic comedy co-starring The Wire‘s Michael B. Jordan, due out January 31st, and the eagerly anticipated Neighbors co-starring Seth Rogen, Rose Byrne, Dave Franco, and Lisa Kudrow (*a moment for that cast*), due May 9th.
Efron has begun the promotional train for both films early, opening up about sex, and the beauty that is… sex. Does Mr. Efron enjoy an after first date coital? Why yes, he does. “Sex is a beautiful thing. I don’t object.” And what is it Efron seeks in a potential sex partner date? “I think every single girl has something different and special about her. You find one who clicks with your vibe. Fate brings people together,” he said. “But I think the most important thing for me in a relationship is honesty. In the beginning, sometimes girls don’t show their genuine personality.”
Somehow, we aren’t too worried about him when it comes to sex or dating.
It’s been less than 48 hours since Paul Walker’s tragic death in the passenger seat of his friend Roger Rodus’ 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. The late 90’s heartthrob turned action hero died on Saturday afternoon around 3:30PM driving away from a fundraiser in the community of Valencia. “Because of the condition of the bodies, which were badly burned, dental records will be used to positively identify the victims,” said Los Angeles County coroner’s investigator Dana Bee.
