‘No Time to Die’ Release Delayed Due to Coronavirus

James Bond fans are gonna have to wait a little longer for their next fix of Britain’s favorite spy. The 25th film No Time to Die, which was slated for release next month, is being delayed until the fall due to coronavirus fears.

“MGM, Universal and Bond producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, announced today that after careful consideration and thorough evaluation of the global theatrical marketplace, the release of No Time to Die will be postponed until November 2020. The film will be released in the U.K. on November 12, 2020 with worldwide release dates to follow, including the U.S. launch on November 25, 2020,” the three studios in charge of distribution for the film told Deadline.

The film was widely anticipated for a number of reasons. For one, the film is Daniel Craig’s final outing as the iconic character and early rumors reported that he’d pass the torch to Lashana Lynch, who would be the first female 007 ever. And Billie Eilish recorded the titular song for the movie — at 18 years old, she’s the youngest artist ever to write and perform a Bond song. (She surpasses Sheena Easton who was 22 when she recorded “For Your Eyes Only” in 1981.) Coronavirus aside, it’s refreshing that a film franchise as enduring as James Bond manages to maintain its cultural cache by adapting to the times.

No Time to Die will be released in the US on November 25. Listen to Billie Eilish’s “No Time to Die” below now.

Watch Daniel Craig Pass the Torch in New Bond Trailer

Ever since it was announced that actress Lashana Lynch would succeed Daniel Craig in the next Bond film, No Time to Die, the public has been anticipating their next dose of the famed secret agent with bated breath. Rumors of Craig’s departure had been circulating for a while, but I don’t think anyone was expecting the franchise to cast Lynch, the first female and black actor to take on the role. It’s a huge deal and will undoubtedly inspire an entirely fresh generation of James Bond fans.

The first official trailer for the upcoming film has just dropped and it’s a doozy. There’s all the archetypal Bond-isms: fast cars, explosions, expensive suits, gunfire, international cities, the works. Rami Malek stars as the villain, apparently. And Lynch seems at ease as she inherits Britain’s most iconic film role with effortless poise.

No Time to Die hits theaters in April 2020. Watch the trailer for the film above now.

Mr P. Gives the Tuxedo a Modern Update for 2020

Just in time for the flurry of holiday parties, Mr P., the initialed offshoot from men’s e-tailer Mr. Porter, has released its first eveningwear line. In addition to the brand’s stylish and understated range of men’s staples, including traditional knits, denim pieces, and other timeless items, Mr P. has pivoted to black-tie dressing with the launch of its first tuxedo. The formal piece consists of a classic slim-fit shawl collar jacket and drawstring grosgrain-striped trousers for a slightly-sporty contemporary update — very Bond, James Bond. Further pieces include a reversible black and navy tie, a white tuxedo shirt with a bib, and a merino turtleneck sweater for an extra layer of warmth and sophistication. Depending on whatever office soirees and family reunions you may be subjected to these next few weeks, this simple but elevated take on the formalwear should have you covered.

The Mr P. eveningwear collection is available online now.

N.Peal Wants to Dress You Like Bond

As the world’s most famous secret agent (love that oxymoron), James Bond aka 007 has had an immeasurable impact on pop culture since his debut over 50 years ago and consequently informed a generation of menswear looks. Whether it’s in a classic tux or poolside onesie, Bond has established himself as one the longest standing style icons in film. To honor his legacy, N.Peal designed a collection of 13 cashmere looks inspired by the beloved character.

N.Peal has a history with the film franchise — two of its cashmere pieces were worn by Daniel Craig in the Skyfall and Spectre films. But this marks the first time the British menswear brand has gone beyond the contemporary films and recreated looks from decades past. Chronicling each of the six actors who have portrayed Bond over 26 films, the collection manages to stand as a current interpretation of some classic vintage looks. Some standouts from the range include a navy cable-knit crewneck sweater, as worn by Pierce Brosnan in Goldeneye, and a light blue cashmere bomber worn by George Lazenby in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

The N.Peal x 007 collection is available in stores and online now.

Lashana Lynch is the New 007

Rumors of who will play the next 007 have been circulating for a bit now. The role has been played by Daniel Craig for over a decade, so it seems a reasonable time as any to pass the torch to introduce a new generation to the iconic character. While many have speculated that Idris Elba might get the part (as the first Black man to play the secret agent, this would be big) new reports say that British actress Lashana Lynch will succeed Craig in the next film. This makes her the first Black woman to play the lead role in the series ever. Alexa, play ‘God is a Woman.’

Lynch will star in the new film, titled Bond 25, which follows Craig’s resignation and introduces his successor. Little else is known about the production — Grace Jones allegedly walked off set while she was shooting a cameo — but Lynch (who also starred in Captain Marvel) seems a promising new lead to take the franchise into the future.

TOM FORD suits Agent 007—played by Daniel Craig—in the brand new installment of the James Bond film series “Spectre.” This is the third time the NYC-based fashion brand dresses the fictional British secret service agent, providing made-to-measure tailored clothing as well as casual wear including eveningwear, suits, shirts, knitwear, ties, and accessories, alongside exclusive eyewear for the Bond character. “I could not be happier to be dressing Craig as James Bond again in ‘SPECTRE,'” says the designer himself. “James Bond epitomizes the TOM FORD man in his elegance, style, and love of luxury. It is an honor to move forward with this iconic character.” Ford came on board for “Quantum of Solace,” replacing Italian brand Brioni, which had designed all of the suits worn by Craig’s predecessor, Pierce Brosnan.

Let’s Talk About Pierce Brosnan’s Incredible Instagram

Sure, it’s plenty of fun to troll through selfies of Beyonce, James Franco, Gwyneth Paltrow, and John Stamos on Instagram, but there’s also a collection of incredibly famous folk with under-the-radar status when it comes to social media pursuits. Chief among them: Pierce Brosnan. Now sure, 94K is an enormous following — we’re not diminishing — but the man who played James Bond and Remington Steele (not to mention starring roles in Mrs. DoubtfireThe Thomas Crowne AffairMama Mia, and the Sarah Jessica Parker flop I Don’t Know How She Does It) isn’t the first name at the top of any of the must follow #celeb lists. But why not? At 60, he’s got the selfie down, is great at humble-brags, plus a sense of humor? Check(+)! Here’s a sampling of some of what you may be missing.

Ps: we’ve got a pretty great account too.
