Stella McCartney’s Spring/Summer 2020 Featured Student Activists

Better late than never, Stella McCartney presented her Spring/Summer 2020 ready-to-wear collection in Milan this weekend. Titled “Force for Nature” both the men’s and women’s collection were staged in one of the city’s private gardens.

The presentation also included a set collective of student activists to raise awareness of climate change. McCartney’s sustainable conceptions are engrained in the brand as well using lots of upcycled materials and working towards a zero-waste goal — pieces from the label are currently composed 60% of sustainable materials. Both the men’s and women’s pieces were bold and pleasing, with acidic botanicals on dresses and detailed prints that elevated more utilitarian pieces. Key examples include camouflage and satellite print jumpsuits.
