Leather of all types, and slouchy technical fabrics, rule the day in Rick Owens’ Spring 2014 collection. Mr. Owens has noted that he wants to be inspired to “do some cardio,” and his newest lineup certainly seems like a motivation to be active. Tanktops in rich leather end in fringes like tassels. Jackets in boiled leather are topped with holes allowing the wearer’s bare collarbone to be seen. White suede tops stretch down to the models’ hips in the signature Rick Owens style. There is a theme of exposure to the collection, as though the clothes are meant to reveal rather than cover up.
