Malin+Goetz Targets Dry Skin With New Oil Balm
Just ahead for the severely dry and dehydrated season, Malin+Goetz is introducing its meadowfoam oil balm for full-body use. Jam-packed with 17 botanical oils, the balm is fatty acid-rich nourishing the skin and forming a protective barrier to lock in the moisture.
Meadowfoam itself, native to Oregon, is a flowering plant whose seed oil has a composition similar to sebum allowing it to absorb deeply and add long-lasting hydration without any oily and sticky feel on the skin. Additional oils and butter included features jojoba seed, avocado, and safflower seed with similar qualities as the meadowfoam to enhance the effect. The balm works great for all skin types, especially sensitive ones, and treats dry, chapped skin aka the key nuisance that comes with the freezing weather.
