It’s Been A Long Week: Pear Spritz

As true believers of the work hard, play hard mantra, we present you with It’s Been a Long Week, a weekly column aimed at awarding some liquid appreciation to you for just being yourself, dammit. Make yourself a glass or two, on us — you deserve it.

It only took a few extra gusts of cold winds for us to miss summer and spritzing time. While we can’t necessarily change the weather without a plane ticket, the spritz doesn’t have to go anywhere. Rekorderlig, a premium Swedish hard cider brand, has worked with cocktail ambassador Nick Rini to spruce up the typical spritz into a fall version with pear and thyme. The yummy cocktail also features a bit of gin and lemon as well to balance out the flavors that is very reminiscent of a tradition Aperol spritz, but isn’t that at all.

Ingredients:

  • 1oz Gin
  • .5oz Lemon
  • .25oz Thyme syrup
  • Rekorderlig Pear to top 

 

Pear Spritz

 

Method:

  • Shake all ingredients except the cider. 
  • Strain over fresh ice in chilled glass. 
  • Top with Rekorderlig Pear.
