It’s Been A long Week: La Vanille Espresso Martini

As true believers of the work hard, play hard mantra, we present you with It’s Been a Long Week, a weekly column aimed at awarding some liquid appreciation to you for just being yourself, dammit. Make yourself a glass or two, on us — you deserve it.

It’s that point in the month when you absolutely need something stronger, and that’s where an espresso martini comes in. A metropolitan legacy and simply a yummy drink, it’s sure to start off your night with a buzz. Grey Goose offers a vanilla take on the classic cocktail at The Sportsman’s Club in Chicago. But in case you’re not able to make it, we’ve got you covered with the recipe you can easily repeat yourself:

  • 1.5 parts Grey Goose La Vanille
  • 1 part single origin espresso
  • 3/4 parts premium coffee liqueur
  • optional Fleur de Sel and vanilla bean

  • Add all ingredients together in a shaker and shake vigorously
  • Strain and serve in a chilled martini glass
  • Optional garnish of vanilla bean resting on the rim
