GENERAL IDEA + HEAD FALL 2012: SPORTING STYLE
Head, who you probably know if you’re big into tennis, has teamed up with General Idea for collection that encompasses a range of sneakers, apparel and accessories strong enough for heavy duty sporting activity but still, chill enough to be worn for everyday life. The collaboration channels the feel of General Idea’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection titled “After Games”, with athletic and functional elements throughout. Puffer coats and vests in skull and star prints are made from duck and goose down to close in heat, while lighter weight jackets are offered in color-blocked designs. A range of heavy-duty backpacks and a messenger bag are also available in the graphic prints. Sneakers standout in unique color combinations and with luxe detailing such as fur-lining, invoking further design elements of winter sports. True to the theme, the collaboration is complete with assorted styles of ski masks. No excuse to rob a bank, however.
