Fendi Opens its First Store in Venice
Fendi has opened its first store in Venice in the San Marco district. In addition to sporting a fresh design, the newly opened boutique is in the process of becoming LEED-certified in accordance to the international standard of sustainability. Once the store achieves this, it will be the Italian designer’s first eco-consciously-driven project that reduces water and energy consumption while simultaneously increasing indoor air quality.
The store is located inside a historic Venetian palazzo with original terrazzo flooring, Marmorino walls, and giant windows that provide streetside onlookers a generous peek inside. The 4-story building is a true palace, stocked with the designer’s signature assortment of bags and accessories on the ground floor, womenswear on the first, and menswear on the second. The third and top levels house a VIP room and a terrace that boasts views of the city. The outdoor patio is decorated with a variety of plantlife and additionally displays Fendi Casa’s outdoor collection.
