Cher Has Some Advice For Miley Cyrus + Thinks She (Cher) Should Be King
Cher sat down with E! Entertainment to give a few good quotes, and because no interview with a famous person is complete — it seems — without a mention of Ms Cyrus, they touched on that, too. So what does the sixty-seven-year-old legend think of the twenty-year-old former Disney girl turned pop-star-n? “I don’t give a s–t if she comes out naked. Just be better, do better.”
The zings kept on zinging when she added, “Maybe she’s thrilled and delighted — everyone’s talking about it,” she said. “And so, that’s almost as good as it being great, you know. Especially kind of in this day and age. It doesn’t make any difference if you’re good. It just makes a difference if people are talking about it.” And don’t think you’ll catch Cher twerking any time soon, absolutely not. “I don’t want to. I mean, I could if I wanted to. But, you know, if it looks like that I don’t think I’m interested. I’ve seen other girls do it better.”
And last but never least came in the form of Cher being asked what she would do if she, like Beyonce, ran the world: “I would abolish Congress and the Senate and I would be king,” she said. “I would be very benevolent. I would give women back their rights.”
