Berluti and Benjamin Millepied Partner Up for L.A. Dance Project

Earlier this week, noted choreographer Benjamin Millepied, former New York City Ballet star Janie Taylor, and an intimate chorus of dancers allowed a one-night only performance at the L.A Dance Project’s annual benefit event. Three pieces were performed throughout the night, one being Millepied’s “Hearts and Arrows,” which featured a custom garment designed by Berluti Artistic Director Alessandro Sartori. Ultra-light construction and super-stretch fabric lent to Millepied’s costume, a deconstructed and elastane seamless wool suit perfect for fluid movement. The second collaboration between them—the two creatives first teamed up last September for an André Saraiva short, “Rendez-Vous Au Club Swann”—both foot and hand reunite to fuse their respective worlds of art.
