Anything George R.R. Martin Can Do, Stephen King Can Do Better

Head's Will Roll

Legendary author and co-exectuve producer of the CBS hit Under the Dome, Stephen King, recently revealed that it was his jealousy of Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin’s involvement in HBO’s adaptation of the fantasy drama that inspired the master of horror to write Dome‘s upcoming sophomore season premiere. The latter, a sci-fi thriller based on King’s 2009 novel of the same name, follows a small town in Maine after its population has become shrouded beneath an invisible and impenetrable dome that cuts the community off from the rest of the world.

The famously introverted writer also revealed that in addition to adding screenwriter to his resume, we can look forward to a new suspense novel out this month titled “Mr. Mercedes,” followed by a darker piece in November, “Revival,” which he compares to his 1983 best-selling, and all-together terrifying horror book “Pet Sematary.”

The King-penned premiere of Under the Dome will air on CBS, June 30th and will also include a cameo appearance from the author. Take that, Martin!
