10 Corso Como Brings the Avant-Garde to Seaport

The Milan-based concept retailer (which has other outposts in Seoul, Shanghai, and Beijing) 10 Corso Como has finally landed stateside with an expansive 28,000-square-foot boutique in downtown Manhattan’s up-and-coming Seaport. The shop is a whimsical and funky space — a designer store with a gallery feel, like DSM but a little less intimidating  — that features the brand’s careful selection of designer merchandise, glossy art books, and other kooky home items. Some of the lines carried include Raf Simons and Comme des Garçons, and the shop also debuted an exclusive collection with Michael Kors to celebrate the grand opening. In a time when retailers are drastically elevating the shopping experience to rejuvenate yet another industry threatened by the internet, 10 Corso Como is a reminder that sometimes IRL is just better.

10 Corso Como is open now at 1 Fulton St, New York, NY 10038.
