The Ineffable French Cool of KARL LAGERFELD PARIS

Few contemporary designers have so seamlessly combined ineffable Parisian cool with contemporary design functionality like KARL LAGERFELD PARIS. Since its launch in the US back in 2016, the brand, inspired by the late eponymous industry icon, has served as the premier channel to bridge the sophistication of the brand to a larger American audience.

The Fall collection is a robust offering of modern men’s staples, stamped with the fingerprints of the influential designer and anchored by a strong monochrome color palette. Classic men’s outerwear pieces, including sherpa leather jackets, quilted parkas, Western-inspired tops, and overcoats, have been modernized with fitted structures and eliminating the unflattering appearance of boxiness.

Elsewhere and throughout the Fall collection, layering is highly encouraged. Utility-style vests are equipped with functionally integrated pockets and hoodies are available in solid colors or a muted camouflage print. Fitted joggers and other standard black trousers are versatile for work and leisure. For footwear, the designer’s Nubuck boot is enhanced with a padded collar and tongue that provide additional foot support, while a side zipper detail warrants easy and comfortable accessibility and wear.

The KARL LAGERFELD PARIS Fall collection is available online now.

Kith’s Fall 2 Collection Drops Tomorrow

This Friday, Kith will release its fall line — Fall 2 — which is one of its largest collections ever. With 86 pieces, the New York brand combines a diverse range of influences spanning from traditional Japanese tailoring to chunky knitwear to sportswear that add new weight to its traditional streetwear offering.

Opting for a more toned-down approach with neutral colors, Fall 2 also stands out as one of the label’s more mature collections. Hoodies have been reimagined in plush knits and monochromatic combinations of whites and greys. Sweaters and overcoats are similarly anchored by a dark color palette. Even a color-blocked shearling jacket, which stands out as the most elaborate item, has been refreshingly reformatted with a looser fit that still remains structured. Classic pieces like the Mercer Pant are also available, but for the most part, overt branding has been subdued.

The Kith Fall 2 collection launches tomorrow in Kith stores and online. Check out more pictures from the collection in the gallery above.

One particularly bold shirt has a ninja-graphic on the front with a tagline reading “We Are Back to Fuck You Up!” (As if they ever left.) Additionally, each of the shirts is available in a number of different colors, including light blue, navy, yellow, orange, and peach.

The Supreme Fall 2019 t-shirt collection launches in select stores and online tomorrow, October 10.

aesop Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator

Aesop’s Facial Hydrator is Your Fall Skin Savior

As summer fades into fall, a new crop of skin issues takes the stage. So long to sunburn (but don’t put away that SPF) and summer oiliness, and hello to seasonal dryness and flakiness. As the temperatures begin to dip, it’s time to reconsider your grooming regimen to ensure you look as flawless as possible for cuffing season. And if there’s any brand that projects the image of having your shit together, it’s Aesop.

Aesop’s Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator is the best barrier against the elements in the battle for your skin. Slightly more intense than a traditional moisturizer, the cream relies on two key ingredients: Dunaliella Salina Extract, which is a green algae antioxidant, and Narcissus Tazetta Bulb Extract, which is derived from daffodils. Both work cohesively to hydrate and soothe the skin and reduce visible redness, while other ingredients prevent flakiness and dryness. The resulting product is a lightweight cream that doesn’t feel too heavy can be easily incorporated into any grooming routine.

“Our scientific understanding of the unique needs of sensitive skin has deepened in recent years,” Dr. Kate Forbes, Aesop’s General Manager, Innovation and R&D, said in a statement. “We now recognize the need to address the uncomfortable sensations associated with skin reactivity, which can manifest with visible signs such as skin redness or flaking, and non-visible characteristics such as itching or burning.”

The Aesop Seeking Silence Facial Hydrator is available in stores and online now.

Mr. Porter and Tom Ford Welcome Fall with New Capsule

Since its launch in 2011, Mr. Porter has become a man’s one-stop-shop for everything posh. And with a new Fall/Winter 2019 capsule collection designed in collaboration with Tom Ford, aka Mr. Posh himself, the online retailer is making sure that your fall style transition is as seamless and suave as possible.

The New York-based designer first released a capsule (his first capsule ever — he’s picky) with Mr. Porter in 2017 to celebrate the label’s 10-year anniversary, referencing pieces from his time at YSL and his award-winning film A Single Man. The newest range is just as referential, channeling the designer’s proclivity for old school glamor in a range of elevated menswear staples. A selection of leather and suede jackets are suited for a variety of style needs — a dark brown suede option and black biker-inspired jacket are timeless menswear pieces, while a dark red option is very Brad Pitt in Fight Club. Another standout is a green cashmere ribbed turtleneck sweater looks snug enough to live in. And, of course, there’s plenty of suiting — come New Years, a satin animal-print tuxedo jacket is the perfect party look.

The Mr. Porter x Tom Ford collection is available online now. Watch Tom Ford share his Rules of Style with the site below.

Supreme x Lacoste Release Fall 2019 Collab

The latest drop from the ongoing fall collaboration between Supreme and Lacoste arrives this week. Taking cues from Lacoste’s preppy country-club aesthetic and injecting them with Supreme’s New York skater grit, the newest collection is a sophisticated effort that’s heavy on branding. Some of the highlights from the latest drop include a series of Harrington jackets with sherpa collars, replete with a branded graphic on the back that features both brand names encircling Lacoste’s distinct crocodile logo. Other standouts include a bold pinstripe cardigan and some simple printed hoodies. Supreme’s recent collection inspired by The Velvet Underground launched last week and earlier this year Lacoste released a collaboration with Tyler the Creator’s brand Golf le Fleur.

The Supreme x Lacoste Fall 2019 collection will be available online on September 26.

Acne’s Newest Collection is All Face

For Fall/Winter ’19, Acne Studios takes inspiration from the great outdoors in a collection of luscious and cozy Arctic-influenced pieces. The items (which include heavy knits, exaggerated scarves, striped rugby shirts, parkas, boots, all your essentials for surviving in nature) are enriched by a bright color palette, graphic prints, and the familiar Face logo motif featured throughout. There are plenty of retro throwback moments embedded in the outerwear — the nylon jackets wouldn’t look out of place in a Kris Kross video — but the newer color combinations and dye-techniques give it that signature weird-cool that the Swedish label does so well.

The Acne Studios F/W 19 Face collection is available in select stores and online now. Check out some of the looks below.

Christopher Raeburn Does Eco-Streetwear for FW19

Christopher Raeburn continues his sustainability wave for FW19, using an earthy color palette in traditional streetwear pieces. Trend mainstays — puffy jackets and fanny packs aren’t going anywhere — were featured alongside more intricately detailed pieces, including a jacket with a loose-quilted exterior. Grooming was also kept soft, with clean faces and soft ribbons in the hair, to juxtapose the urban feel of the collection. Very rose that grew from the concrete.
