Following the reveal of its Spring/Summer 2016 menswear collection at Paris Fashion Week yesterday, iconic French fashion label Saint Laurent unveils its rock-fused Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign. Shot in Los Angeles by iconic photographer and current Saint Laurent Creative Director Hedi Slimane, the latest advertising effort features models Pascal, Paul, and Julia Cumming of Brooklyn-based rock group Sunflower Bean, for a monochromatic showcase of the collection’s edgy vibe.
The line, dubbed Collection XV, marries the classic French heritage of the brand with an almost new wave, pseudo-rock grace. Charcoal blacks, pure whites, and burning reds deliver a violent sharpness cut through with a youthful polish that is bold in both concept and delivery. With extra-fitted black leather pants that are Bowie-esque in charm and execution—along with a range of wing-tipped, high- shouldered jackets that would bear a Bon Jovi seal of approval—the collection brings an esteemed luxury to a brooding rocker aesthetic.
