Two animal trends collide with McMairy’s trademark irreverence in the new Derby with leopard spots crafted on pony hair up front. From behind, though, it’s all business with a black nubuck saddle and a corduroy rear, all perched atop a commando sole with a natural leather welt. The Brogue may have less shock value but is just as tight, featuring wool panels and suede brogues set on a sturdy Vibram Christy sole. All were designed by Bodega in the Las Vegas summer heat, which strkes us as strange since they’re made with such heavy fabrications.
