Louis Vuitton Opens Month-Long Residency in Chicago

Chicago’s own Louis Vuitton store is getting an orange update to welcome summer. Opening tomorrow, June 8th,  the West Loop store will carry an exclusive range of gear designed for the store by men’s artistic director Virgil Abloh to coincide with his retrospective “Figures of Speech” exhibition at the nearby Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago. As part of the month-long takeover, the outpost will carry a limited-edition line of orange merchandise — an effort to disrupt monochrome associated with city life — including a backpack, chunky retro-style sunglasses, and an eye-catching pair of sneakers that are sure to blow up on resale sites. (see above gallery). Additionally, orange sculptures have been installed in the store to really drive the theme home.

The Louis Vuitton Chicago Residency opens tomorrow, June 8th, until July 7th at 1100 W Randolph St, Chicago, IL 60607,
