Levi’s x Heron Preston Release 501 Collection
Celebrating the anniversary of the invention of Levi’s signature 501 styles — which debuted 146 years ago, wow — the all-American denim label partnered with Heron Preston on a limited range of 501 jeans that infuse a street edge to the timeless pants.
The two styles — in men’s and women’s styles, respectively — flaunt Preston’s signature DIY ethic, with tie-dye wash, frayed patches, and a drawstring-turned-belt that screams Downtown cool. The designer’s trademark brand patch is also featured, and the orange tint of the wash hearkens back to the Life of Pablo days. (Preston was a creative consultant to Kanye West’s highly acclaimed record and helped design some of the tour merch before the rapper went off the deep end. Simpler times.) He also stars alongside Haley Bieber in the first-ever dedicated 501 campaign. Here’s hoping to a more expansive collab in the future.
