It’s Been A Long Week: Wake Me Up, F**k Me Up

As true believers of the work hard, play hard mantra, we present you with It’s Been a Long Week, a weekly column aimed at awarding some liquid appreciation to you for just being yourself, dammit. Make yourself a glass or two, on us — you deserve it.

Happy 2019! Whether or not you’re taking Dry January seriously, we’ve got an invite that will surely interest both parties. Tucked away in a cozy, dim-lit corner in Tribeca, Ward III, our latest spirits and bites go-to is presenting Sunday Suppers/Sippers for January evenings. Join Chef Peter Lipson (formerly of Northern Spy Food Co. and Empellón) as he takes over the kitchen serving three courses as a take on classic neighborhood dishes (think–beef tartare with fennel or steamed Prince Edward Island mussels.) Topping off the great menu, the always-exceptional cocktail menu will kick all those winter blues away. In the meantime, we’ve got a sneak peek of one of the bar’s special cocktails:

Ingredients: 

  • 1.5 oz Peloton Mezcal 
  • 1 oz Mr. Black Coffee Liqueur 
  • .5 oz Giffard Banana
  • 2 dashes Scrappy’s Chocolate Bitters 
  • 1 oz oat milk 
Ingredient (2)

Method: 

  • Shake vigorously with ice
  • Double strain into a chilled goblet
  • Garnish with 3 coffee beans in the middle of the glass
