Virgil Abloh’s inaugural collection for Louis Vuitton was a statement in every sense — from gradient-rainbow runway design to the inclusive guest list, which featured roughly around 1000 students from local universities. While a few classic Abloh-isms were embedded in the collection, including monochromatic looks, a unifying political statement, and straightforward graphics, the presentation remained grounded in its global ethos and promised a strong future for the label at the helm of fashion’s most compelling figure.
