Rove Hamptons Transportation

Rove’s Newest & Easiest Way to Get to the Hamptons

Rove, an in-between service between the Jitney and Blade, is a ride share service conveniently bringing patrons to the Hamptons with comfortable NYC-pickup locations in a Mercedes-Benz van for a mere $65.

As summer is already in full swing and the Hamptons are our closet and coolest destination, it is always up to the traffic and the way of getting there to truly define plans. Jack Brinkley-Cook and Jake Sosne came up with Rove to combat the awfully long Jitney rides and overpriced helicopter drop-offs. Their service conveniently offers direct rides from from Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn at pick-up locations including Sixty SoHo Hotel or Williamsburg’s The William Vale Hotel. The online platform matches individuals headed in the same direction to the same vehicle and even encourages those to hang out beforehand. The ride hikes up the price to $75 for a Montauk destination where drop-off at The Surf Lodge is available as well.

Surf Lodge Turns Zen With New Wellness Studio

As the Hamptons turns into a sleepless social hub from  Memorial Day Weekend onward, a new wellness destination is now open at The Surf Lodge to rewind, refresh, and relax. The Surf Lodge Sanctuary will bring together wellness gurus and beauty brands all under one roof as a sister location to the renowned restaurant and bar.  The center will focus primarily on vegan and cruelty-free brands looking to the true future of the industry with additional panels and talks by leaders in the space. Classes will be curated by instructors including Melissa Wood Health, Sarah Levy (founder of Y7 Yoga), and Megan Roup, DogPound, ModelFIT, Torch’d, and more. The Surf Lodge truly fits the niche that Montauk and its glamorous vacationers have been waiting for.

The Surf Lodge Sanctuary is located at 716 Montauk Highway.

A special gift box, including a hoodie, patch set, and a copy of ‘Signals,’ is also available for purchase only at the Montauk Surf Lodge.

Equinox Heartens NYC to Reach for the Gold with GOLDRUSH

Luxury gym and source of beach body envy, Equinox has taken summer fitness to next level intensity with its GOLDRUSH campaign: a Willy Wonka-esque competition for fitness fanatics. Turning New York into a torturous treasure hunt, Equinox has planted five un-purchasable Gold Memberships in nearly impossible to reach locations in and around city. Starting in at The Surf Lodge in Montauk—where over 50 entrants, including Neil Patrick Harris, free-dove 20 ft for the prize—to 5 ft gravel pit dig in Chelsea last month, these feats of strength fiercely test the limits of personal will and ask just about how much does every Manhattanite crave a Kiehl’s-lathered shower after a good cardio kick-in-the-ass at the multi-location fitness club. The gold membership prize includes a one-year global membership, 24 personal training sessions, monthly massages, and a personal locker at one’s club of choice, among other perks, with the final GOLDRUSH challenge occurring tomorrow, Wednesday, 26, 2015 at the Intrepid (Pier 86 W 46th St and 12th Ave).
