Dior Releases Space-Age Pre-Fall ’19 Campaign

After the astonishing Pre-Fall ’19 show, which took place back in late November in Tokyo, Dior has unveiled its accompanying men’s campaign. Shot by Steven Meisel, artistic director of the French house Kim Jones wanted the campaign “to catch the energy of the Tokyo show, with the amazing laser lights of the finale.”

This is recaptured quite literally, with lasers decorating the image series and a futuristic Y2K-era-inspired logo update that fits the robotic and retrofuturistic theme of the collection. Since this is the first ever men’s Pre-Fall collection, a look to the future seems to indicate a long and prosperous reign under the direction of Jones. Check out some of the images below.

Versace’s SS19 Campaign is a Family Affair

For its latest campaign, Versace has once again partnered with Steven Meisel on an opulent series of images for its Spring/Summer ’19 collection. With a newspaper collage theme (which echoes a series of prints from the line) the campaign honors the Italian brand’s history and heritage with an emphasis on the family nature of the label. A video shows a model surrounded by different periodicals, creating a collage that spells out ‘Versace,’ highlighting the label’s omnipresence in the world — an imprint as “permanent as ink on skin.” Familiar faces like Bella Hadid are featured alongside rising models like João Knorr, a beloved mix of seasoned and new members of the designer family.

The campaign celebrates Versace’s ubiquitous nature and its permanent presence in contemporary pop culture. While trends continue to phase in and out from season to season, the iconic Donatella Versace continues to steer the luxury label in its own lane and further cement its legacy. And a simple yet exuberant campaign like this reminds us that it’s always a family matter.

The Versace SS19 collection is available in stores and online now. Check out the campaign below.

Introducing Kim Jones’ Debut Campaign for Dior SS19

Screenshot_1

Kim Jones released his debut campaign as artistic director of Dior menswear, in partnership with New York-based artist Kaws and his famous BFF character. The BFF character that took Instagram by storm, was introduced to the world in the form of a 33-foot-tall pink sculpture of roses on the Dior Men’s runway during Paris Fashion Week, and also took the form of a smaller plush toy for guests.

With the help of Steven Meisel, the campaign is a reification of a masculine charm, featuring louche suiting and soft pastel colors, as well as some of KAWS motifs, such as a pink accent and the iconic Dior Homme bee logo, remastered to have more cartoon-like features. The campaign also features Prince Nikolai of Denmark as one of the models. Take a look at the images below.

Keith Haring x Coach is the Label’s Love Letter to New York

The latest fashion flirtation with the influential work of groundbreaking NY street artist and gay icon Keith Haring comes from Coach, who launch their latest campaign for the sequin and graphic heavy Spring 18 collection today. Inspired by the grit and romance of the city, the image series contrasts the intricate detailing and embellishments of the leather-centric line with soft color hues against the stark backdrop of the city.

“The further extension into ready-to- wear this season has been very much inspired by our Coach girl gang—the way that they wear, party and live in our clothes,” Coach’s creative director Stuart Vevers said in a statement. “I love that sort of undone, unprecious glamour and sensuality.”

The campaign has an all-star team behind it — noted fashion photographer Steven Meisel shot the series, while makeup extraordinaire Pat McGrath handled beauty and legendary art director Fabien Baron oversaw the creative direction. The result is a tender ode to the fashion capital and the artist who emerged from it. Take a look at some images below.

Keith Haring x Coach will be available at Coach and online in March.

Creative Director Stuart Vevers recruited a legendary team of creatives—including photographer Steven Meisel, art director Fabien Baron, and stylist Karl Templer—for Coach‘s Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign. Lensed by the legendary Steven Meisel, Prada‘s Pre-Fall 2015 campaign continues to exploit the ambiguities of the sexes. Starring models Maartje Verhoef, Niels Trispel, Willow Hand, Artur Chruszcz, Aya Jones, Johannes Spaas, Natalie Westling, Finnlay Davis, Julia Nobis, and Tim Schuhmacher, the four-part series was photographed in Meisel’s New York studio atop a gray backdrop and studies the interplay of physical geometry. The still campaign is accompanied by a video, which can be seen here.
