Marni Collaborated with Bruno Bozzetto for FW19
Marni‘s recent Fall/Winter 2019 was a variegated explosion of prints and color, thanks to a collaboration with Bruno Bozzetto. The designer worked with the Italian cartoon artist, known for his dynamic characters and animated style, on a series of looks for the collection — key pieces include patchwork button downs that bring new meaning to the term ‘power clash,’ reversible elongated parkas, t-shirts, and pajamas. Additionally, if you’re looking for the ultimate travel companion, Bozzetto also added his work to a range of 3 PVC tote bags with leather handles. Each piece from the line is amplified by the lively illustrations, which look like a fantastic cross between the style of German artist Heinz Edelmann (famous for his art direction on the Beatles’ Yellow Submarine film) and scene culture from the late aughts — both are very 2019.
