Justin O’Shea moves to Brioni

Long-lasting luxury name Brioni announces former MyTheresa fashion director Justin O’Shea as the new creative director of the brand, following the exit of British designer Brendan Mullane earlier this year. Having no training in design and a personal look heavily championed by street style photographers, O’Shea’s appointment hints at a re-shaping of the label’s artistic presentation. Referencing this, Grita Loebsack of Kering—the fashion conglomerate that houses Brioni—said in a statement: “An unconventional profile for such a position, Justin brings a holistic approach and strong understanding of business. I believe his vision will accurately translate into this role.” O’Shea will be responsible for Brioni’s seasonal collections and overall creative image as of April 2016.
