Dior Homme Launches New Set of Travel Bags

In the great tradition of the French house’s own history with discovery, Dior Homme presents a new line of men’s bags, Mister Dior, ideal for carrying onto the plane. The new release includes two document holders—in black and rich navy—and a sleek, no-fuss messenger bag. This sturdy functionality mirrors Kris Van Assche’s Fall 2016 collection; contextualized with the runway assortment’s predominantly black color palette and heavy metallic accents, Mister Dior fits seamlessly into the designer’s skater/punk-tinged world. The calfskin additions are not new shapes to Dior Homme, but combine retro sensibilities—the signature Dior ‘scar’ makes an appearance and the corner reinforcements bring vintage travel trunks to mind—with stark modernism to add a freshness to the label’s existing collections.
