Travel Through Time with Bottega Veneta’s SS19 Campaign
Bottega Veneta just released their Spring/Summer 2019 campaign, the first from new creative director Daniel Lee, which tackles the intangible concepts of time, intimacy, and transience through the lens of pure luxury.
The campaign examines the Italian designer’s heritage through a vibrant poolside photo series, taken by Tyrone LeBon on the island of Ischia. Each photo seems to translate into a larger intimate narrative, emphasized by candid-like Polaroid photos that capture fleeting moments. The symbiotic relationship between Bottega Veneta’s signature leather and the skin of the body is equally portrayed – mainly through the label’s signature intrecciato weaving technique, a figure weaving through water, and a woman wrapped in a calf trench-coat.
