Joseph Abboud Makes Leather Accessories with Frank Clegg

Joseph Abboud and leather magnate Frank Clegg are offering a limited edition leather portfolio case as a gift for the holidays. The union of the two brands symbolizes an appreciation for quality, luxury, and rich American history. Easily portable, the underarm carrier is an accessory for a contemporary man with style. The vegetable-tanned emerald green leather has a smooth and tender surface due to a process of extra fat liqueur polishing. With time, the porter will age with a beautiful patina revealing through the green for an extra edge of the character. In the meanwhile, the porter is water repellent and features a light protective film. Dubbed “The Folio,” the collaboration between the two American brands is available at Joseph Abboud’s Madison Ave store throughout the winter season.

Fendi x Porter

All Aboad the Fendi x Porter Bag

For over half a century, the Japanese brand Porter has been renowned for its ultradurable, hand-assembled luggage and bags (the name is derived from a traditional hotel porter). Now, in the 21st century, the label has become famed for its must-have collaborations, and dropping this fall is the latest—and perhaps most iconic—with Fendi. Porter uses its bonded nylon to reimagine two signature Fendi silhouettes: the Baguette (the first edition for men) and the Peekaboo. Both styles debuted on the Milan runway earlier this year, and incorporate luxe Fendi hardware into the designs.

Givenchy

Givenchy Launches Downtown Inspired Travel Accessories

Givenchy has expanded its range of metropolitan travel bags with its new ‘Givenchy Downtown’ capsule. First seen on the Spring-Summer 2019 Haute Couture show as the “Bow” backpack, the newest iterations have a more masculine spin to them. The capsule features five styles in black and white nylon embellished with the brand logo. The backpack, a small duffle bag, a belt bag, and a cross-body bag in two styles are the ideal accessory for fall travel near or far, by plane or walking. Each bag also has a subtle “V” detail that Waight Keller has introduced in other silhouettes before. The final touch is a red outlining of the brand logo.

The Givenchy Downtown capsule collection is now available in select stores only but will soon be available worldwide.

Acne Studios

Peek Inside Acne Studios’ Fall/Winter 2019 Campaign

Acne Studios‘ Fall/Winter 2019 campaign features an array of ‘New Generation’ faces and the newest iteration of the iconic Musubi bag side by side. Model Xie Chaoyu, artist Delfin Finley, dancer Parker Kit Hill, musician Dylan Jagger Lee, model Esther Mcgregor, artist Ajani Russell, and model Sara Skinner Hiromi are featured in a black-and-white portrait mode alongside a parallel bag image.

Shot by Richard Burbridge, the campaign is a juxtaposition of raw portraiture and clean-cut still-life images. The bags in the still life compositions are characterized by a twisted knot motif taking inspiration from Japanese obi sash. The new season also sees an additional backpack and bucket bag as well as a quilted version of the Musubi. New fluorescent green and orange colors make a debut too. Each bag is made from premium cow and/or lamb leather with subtle branding.

The Fall/Winter 2019 Musubi bags are now available in Acne Studios stores and on acnestudios.com.

Portage: TENT by Esther Porter—Festival Ruins Rise

Portage: TENT by Esther Porter—Festival Ruins Rise

You’d never know it by just looking but the name says it all. Every single bag in the TENT by Esther Porter collection is handmade from the ruins of wild European music festivals. Sounds arts and craftsy—and smelly—but actually, the effect is refined, subdued and minimal. Each TENT bag combines reclaimed tent fabric with British rubber-bonded cotton canvas, equestrian-grade thick cotton webbing straps and British-cast nickel hardware. Finally the bags are trimmed with natural vegetable-tanned leather. This all happens in collaboration with Chapman Bags Ltd, who have a long history of making traditional British canvas outdoor bags. The Fall 2012 collection sees TENT refreshing some of last season’s most popular styles like the barrel, holdall, satchel and rucksacks styles by injecting new colourways including brick red, burnt orange and slate grey and arrives in stores beginning next week. Check them out after the jump and check here for stocklists.

Also of note are the shoes, small duffle and, of course, an Odin candle. All items will ring in with a smile—the price points range from $15 to $100.
