Fendi Hosts ‘Dawn of Romanity’ Exhibition in Rome

Just as Fendi‘s couture show wrapped up last week, the Italian fashion casa opened the doors of its expansive headquarters in Rome for a free exhibition called ‘The Dawn of Romanity.’ The set occupies the entire first floor of the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana where iconic pieces are displayed alongside artisans from the fur atelier. The exhibition also pays tribute to the late Karl Lagerfeld, who worked with the designer from 1967 until his death earlier this year. Ateliers in Florence and Porton San Giorgio will also be open to the public until July 14th. This is a unique experience for longtime fans of the label to see the intricate couture pieces up-close and speak with the artisans who put in hours of meticulous work to create the extravagant pieces. Artisans will also discuss their jobs and explain the full process of how fabric turns into a Fendi masterpiece.

Fendi’s ‘The Dawn of Romanity’ is open now at Quadrato della Concordia, 3, 00144 Roma RM, Italy. Check out pictures of the exhibition in the gallery above.
