Essential Event: Eighth Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park

Over the weekend, over 7,000 seersucker and sundress-donning city folk and celebs—including 50 Cent, Joan Smalls, Mindy Kaling, Emma Roberts, and more—crossed New York’s Upper Bay to attend the eighth annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at Liberty State Park. As the sun beat down intensely, Andrew Rannells sang the national anthem, Freida Pinto threw out the ceremonial ball toss, and teams Veuve Clicquot and Black Watch battled for victory gracefully on the field. For most, though, the concern was not as much of the ball, but rather, the locations of the Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and Rosé-stalked bars.
