Design: Lenny Kravitz + Philippe Starck + Kartell
Lenny Kravitz (of rock and roll fame) has been dabbling in furniture design since the early 2000’s with his Kravitz Design team, but this year he’s teamed up with Kartell and created a collection of six Mademoiselle armchairs (originally designed by French design icon Philippe Starck) re-imagined and upholstered in a combination of fabrics chosen together with Philippe Starck himself. The result? Shall we say an interesting set of decidedly undomesticated chairs, combining finishes of python, fur, leather and woven materials which were recently launched at the Salone Del Mobile (aka the Milan Design Week).
