Bottega Veneta’s Spring/Summer 2015 Campaign Film with Nobuyoshi Araki

Video: Bottega Veneta.

Under the creative directorship of Tomas Maier and with famed Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki—part of the Italian luxury house’s on-going artist collaboration series—Bottega Veneta‘s newest film for its Spring/Summer 2015 takes Tokyo by storm, juxtaposing briefly melodic moments of both cultural and nature richness beside and atop the fascinatingly urban qualities of the influential city. Starring models Sung Jin Park and Saskia de Brauw and Araki himself (who lensed the print campaign), the video blends the artist’s mature perspective of eroticism with the brand’s luxe and laid back seasonal offering. Following recent collaborations with artists such as Nan Goldin and David Sims, Maier said of working with Araki, “More than simply provocative, [his] images have a powerful honesty and human poignancy that make them unforgettable. He has his own visual language, which I was very excited to see translated to the collection. I am pleased to say I am very happy with the results of our collaboration.”
