It’s Been a Long Week: Reyka Southside

WHAT

Reyka Southside

An elegant cocktail pulled straight from the lava rocks of Iceland, the Reyka Southside combines the biting taste of arctic water with a glacial cool of minty relief.

HOW

Ingredients:

2 parts Reyka vodka
1 part fresh lime juice
0.75 part simple syrup
4-6 mint leaves

THEN

Combine all ingredients together in cocktail shaker and double strain. Serve in a coupe glass with a mint leaf garnish.

WHAT

Reyka’s Sunny Day
Why cleanse post-work out, when you can hydrate even more at the bar? A mischievous twist of BluePrint‘s P.A.M. (the brand’s popular blend of pineapple, green apple, and mint), Reyka Vodka improves the balanced juice with a dash of fun in this citrusy and light Sunny Day cocktail. Vodka just got a little healthier… and juicing a little more fun,

HOW

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Reyka Vodka
3 oz. BluePrint P.A.M. juice
0.5 oz. fresh lime juice
Sprig of mint

THEN

Fill cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka, P.A.M., and lime juice. Shake ingredients together until chilled and strain into rocks glass filled with ice.

Essential Homme Debuts June/July ’14 Issue with a Summer Party

This past Wednesday, June 18, 2014, we celebrated our #EssentialHommeSumerParty at Up & Down nightclub in Downtown Manhattan, New York City in honor of our new June / July 2014 issue. Attendees included industry influencers, friends of the magazine, and our favorite bloggers like Joseph McArthur, Moti Ankari, Saul Carrassco, Emily Bihl, Lionel Cipriano, Michael Fisher, and Mindy Yang. With a refreshingly-Icelandic bar stocked with Reyka Vodka for all of Summer’s essential cocktails and a Spiff for Men backroom takeover—because why say no to a quick razor shave or mid-party manicure?—a Tapsnap-powered photo booth, and beats courtesy of Noizy Brands, it was hard to pin-point which part of the night we enjoyed the most. Lucky we don’t have to because we can re-live the evening with you and the photos (taken by photographer Andrew Day) below.
