West Coast street-style connoisseurs STAMPD head east for the brand’s Autumn/Winter 2016 lookbook. The collection, entitled New Soldiers, draws inspiration from military garb, as well as founder Chris Stamp’s experiences in New York City – coincidentally the lookbook shooting location. The grim images are filled with army green bombers paired with camo cargo pants that provide a not-so-subtle take on the theme. Neutral utilitarian fabrics and shapes dominate the collection, where streamlined wool coats and monochrome turtlenecks and trousers reference the simplicity of a uniform, playing on the city’s reputation for all-black everything. Touches of graphic text bring in the California surf/skate culture for a completed look of angsty class.
With this bold new era, STAMPD’s New Soldiers are ready for the harsh New York City winter.
