Fabergé’s Elixir of Grandeur

With a continued focus on Haute jewelry, objets d’art, and timepieces, Fabergé’s latest collaboration is a line of limited-edition silk scarves and pocket squares designed by Gary James McQueen, designer and nephew of Alexander McQueen. While the pieces were first intended as gift tokens, their popularity prompted 150 additional pieces. Loyal to visual dramatization, the accessories feature Czarist motives set upon a dark black canvas. Colorful gemstones and golden elements decorate the perimeter of the square as a nod to Russia’s Golden Age not lost to time. The wearable piece of art marries the traditions of Russian shawls with French foulards in a contemporary manner that offers a piece to reminisce on the times of balls, crowns, and priceless egg sculptures.
