Models are tall, but runway shows are short. How’s that for irony? Or better, how is that for a reason to experience the Dior Homme Fall 2013 runway show again…except this time in a new venue and with three brand new looks? That’s what happened on April 25th, at the Museum Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) in Beijing. The show was completely retooled to fit the new venue—models walking down a stark, white switchback runway on stage as fans soaked in the radiant sight from the arena seating. The new looks—three tuxedoes, are presented at the end of the show, of which designer Kris Van Asshe says, “The Dior Homme man now looks to the future with optimism…What I wanted to convey in the collection this season is rigor, calm and control. This is a confident, self-made man in a multitude of ways. He’s a self-made superhero.” After the show, Brit band, HURTS, treated the crowd to a live show and party. No matter if you weren’t there…between all the image and videos after the jump, you can pretend you were.
